With the evolution of technology, everything has now advance from
convertible automobile, to drive-less car, from touch button to soft
touch screen devices. The terrible experience of pressing hard buttons
is slowly going out of fashion as technology now present us with a new
fashioned soft touch and swipe screen options which is pretty good.
If you are the type that love touch screen devices but don't have enough
cash to buy a laptop with touch screen functionality, the good news is
that, with the AirBar peripheral device, you can connect it to your
laptop or monitor and the touch screen features will be activated.
At CES, Neonode unveiled the AirBar, which goes for $49. AirBar is a
peripheral that when connected to a USB port, it provides any screen
display a touch capability. The Airbar uses invisible light to detect
where your finger is on the screen and provide that feedback to the
computer.
So how to convert your laptop into a touchscreen?
According to Neonode, the AirBar which is going to be shipped in May,
will work with laptops running Windows or Chrome OS. It will be made
available in four sizes to support most displays. 11.6 inches, 13.3
inches, 14 inches and 15.6 inches.
The AirBar is also plug and play which means the device will
automatically install itself on any laptop once you plug it into a USB
port and you are ready to touch your way around the laptop.
When will AirBar be available?
The AirBar peripheral will be available for sale in May, and the price
in Nigeria will be between N12,000 to N13,000 when it arrive Nigeria.
